Many campaigns fail to reach voters by relying too heavily on outdated tactics and messaging strategies because it’s “what we’ve always done.” As more of our interactions have moved online to ever-expanding social media platforms, cable tv and newspaper subscriptions are in decline, and misinformation spreads like rapid fire - we need to ensure our campaigns are utilizing the most innovative and effective strategies for reaching, engaging and motivating our communities to vote.

Voter Action invests in campaigns that utilize innovative messaging strategies such as the Race Class Narrative, culturally competent approaches like in-language mailers and ads, varied social media and new communications platforms, and relational peer-to-peer organizing tactics with modern technology such as peer texting programs.
We stay up to date on local and national research on best practices and emerging strategies in voter engagement, communication, and digital strategies, and work to connect the dots within campaign infrastructure and political committees that direct the majority of resources in candidate races.
